American Psycho - Extrait de Parfum

It’s an 80s powerhouse in the best way. A classic aftershave at first sniff, and the pepper hits you on the dry down. I like to imagine it would be right up Bateman’s alley.

Anyone who knows me, knows I love the house of Xyrena. Each fragrance conjures nostalgia in different ways, but American Psycho hits different. If you want to dip your toes in Xyrena, this is a great place to start. It has a phenomenal crossover appeal for mainstream fragrance lovers who want to explore Xyrena. However, this is by no means a mainstream scent. What Killian Wells has done here surprises me in that it does two things at once that mainstream fragrances struggle with. The opening is bright green sorbet with mint, then a kick of Sichuan pepper peaks through, before sweet hints of crème brûlée linger in the background. Also, it's super ****!

I imagine myself returning some video tapes, or sitting behind my desk listening to Huey Lewis and the News on my cassette tape.
